Why the Ionian
Pine-covered hills running straight into turquoise water, Venetian harbour towns and bays you can only reach by boat. The Ionian is the gentle, green side of Greek sailing.
Short hops and lighter winds make it one of the easiest places in Greece for a first sailing holiday, and a favourite for families. I plan the pace around you, with plenty of time to swim, explore and do nothing at all.
The route · 5 waypoints · ~170 nm
Five waypoints across seven days, so there's always time to slow down. Fall in love with Paxos? Stay another night. The route follows you, not the other way round.
STOP 01
Leave Corfu across calm Ionian water to the peaceful harbours of Paxos, and drop anchor in one of its secluded coves.
Gaios, Lakka and Loggos · Sea caves on the west coast · Harbourside tavernas
STOP 02
A short hop across turquoise water to little Antipaxos, famous for its white-sand beaches and crystal-clear bays. A day for swimming and slowing right down.
Voutoumi and Vrika beaches · Snorkelling and diving · Total quiet
STOP 03
South to Lefkada, past some of Greece's most famous beaches, with lively Lefkada town waiting on the waterfront.
Porto Katsiki, Kathisma and Agios Nikitas · Lefkada town · Local wine, olive oil and pies
STOP 04
Choose between the Venetian charm of Fiskardo on Kefalonia and the quiet villages of Ithaca, the island of Odysseus.
Fiskardo waterfront · Vathi and Kioni on Ithaca · Hidden bays and green walking paths
STOP 05
A long, rewarding sail north back to Corfu, with the Ionian islands passing by one last time before you reach the harbour.
A full day under sail · Corfu's old fortress at sunset
Alternatives we can add along the way, if you feel like it.
+ Optional
Sail around the small islands off Lefkada for an idyllic, quiet day at anchor.

FAQ
There is no fixed price. It depends on the yacht, the season, the size of your group and what you want included, such as skipper, provisioning or transfers. Tell me your plans and I send you an indicative estimate before you commit to anything.
Yes. The Ionian has calm water and mostly short passages, which makes it one of the easiest places in Greece for a first sailing holiday. A skipper takes care of the sailing.
From May to October. June and September are especially pleasant: warm sea, quieter harbours and gentle afternoon breezes.
Of course. The stops are a suggestion, not a schedule. Stay longer where you love it, skip what you don't, and adapt to the weather on the day.
